SCULPTURE* - The
initial consultation step is the same as with a commission painting. The difference
is that if the client decides to proceed there is an initial payment to the artist
of $500 which pays for the first clay "sketch". This initial retainer
will be credited to the client's account should a formal Agreement be drawn up
for the completion of the work. Otherwise it is non-refundable. Costs
- When the client approves the initial "sketch", a cost estimate will
be provided after the artist confers with the foundry. If the cost is satisfactory
an agreement will be drawn up specifying the details of the project as outlined
above. One-third of the cost will be paid with the signing, another third upon
completion of the quarter-scale model, and the final third upon delivery or installation.
